Party 2010 (a bit late!)

The Annual 2010 Squadron Christmas party was held on Friday,
January 7th, 2011 at John E's Restaurant in beautiful downtown Buechel,
Kentucky. The turnout for the party was about half of what was expected.
However, everyone that did attend seemed to have a good time. The food and
company were both excellent. Bad weather and illness also played a part in the
reduced numbers.....maybe. To see a bit more of what went on at the party click
on the picture at left. Hopefully, with more advanced planning next year the
event will return to normal.
The Way We Were.......

Want to see some of the aircraft that the Kentucky Wing used
to fly back in the 1970s and 80s? Back then it was not all Cessna 172s and 182s.
There was a variety of aircraft both new and old and from a variety of
manufacturers. Also, back then, Civil Air Patrol got a lot of their aircraft as
military surplus. There also was not a lot of emphasis on a standardized paint
scheme many wearing a normal civilian paint job. To find out more click on the
C-172 at left and be transported back in time.
Squadron Christmas
Party 2009

As usual, the KY214 Squadron had a bang up Christmas party.
This year's soiree was held at Limestone, the site of the 2008 party. Since we
had a great experience there last year, it was decided to rerun. Ken Ulrich did
the logistics to get the squadron our own private room where we could celebrate
at will. Normally, we hold the Christmas Party at the conclusion of the Winter
SAREX, but with the economic crunch affecting government spending as well as
individuals and businesses, the SAREX will not be funded this year.
KY214 Squadron Celebrates Christmas
2006

No, these are not the three kings
from the Christmas story in the Bible. These are three very happy KY214
squadron members who have just been to a very nice squadron Christmas
party held at Bravo Italian restaurant in St. Matthews on Friday,
December 29th. The Christmas party is an annual event that we use to
celebrate all of the success that the squadron has had over the year and
to reflect on the coming year's assignments. To see what went on click

KY214 2005 Squadron Christmas Party

Having wrapped up another successful year, the KY214 Squadron
decided to let their hair down and have a good old fashioned Christmas Party to
celebrate not only the season, but with the good friends we have made at the
squadron over the years. This party turned out to be the most highly
attended of any of our previous holiday gatherings. Many squadron members
brought their spouses, girlfriend/boyfriends and family members.
2004 Squadron Christmas Party
The
squadron took a break from flying and training to celebrate the Christmas
Holiday with a dinner at the Logan's Roadhouse on Shelbyville Road in St.
Matthews. A good time was had by all those in attendance. Click on
the picture below to see who was there and what went on. Sorry you missed
it, if you didn't make it.
